Being drawn to peachy-pinks and corals, I picked up the Triomphe Rouge Coco and Murmure Glossimer. When I got them, I was surprised at how well they went together. Murmure is almost Triomphe in gloss form.

Triomphe #60 Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour ($34 for 0.12oz/3.5g) looks soft and delicate in the tube, but it is a deep, bright carmine pink--a warm, rosy pink-orange with no shimmer and a soft luster. It's almost a red-orange, but not quite, and there's too much pink in it for it to be a pure coral.

I found the texture to be slightly soft, silky, but also fairly solid. It glides across my lips and doesn't pull, tug or skip in the slightest. The coverage is mostly to fully opaque in one to two passes, and doesn't apply unevenly. It lasts about four to five hours on me and feels quite hydrating.

Murmure #179 Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer ($29.50 for 0.19oz/5.5g) is a light (to medium) pinky coral, with no shimmer that has a smooth, glassy finish. When worn, it's not quite as bright as it is in the tube. It's more of a light pink with a hint of coral.

I found Murmure to be smooth, lightweight and not at all sticky. There's a slight transparency and softness to this color that lets my natural lip color show through just a little bit. Murmure lasts about three to four hours on me.

Both Murmure and Triomphe brighten my face and are those those easy-to-wear type of shades. They're both sweet, lovely and delightful. Neither shade is quite what I expected, in that Triomphe is a little bit more of a coral on me than I'd like and Murmure has more color payoff than I expected. They make wonderful permanent additions to their respective lines.

I purchased Triomphe and Murmure at Nordstrom. Triomphe is also available at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's and Chanel. Murmure is also available at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's and Chanel.

Have you picked up any of Chanel's new lip colors for spring? Do you plan to?

  2. Hi Sunny,
I had a feeling you would love Triomphe, lol. I'm regretting not picking up Mèlodieuse, so I think I'm going to go back for that. It might be more of a pinky coral than an orangey-coral. Can't wait for your reviews on everything!

  3. I tend to favor pink corals over orange ones, as my skin tone has the tendency of drawing ALL the orange in a shade out (for example, I'm sure my beloved Dior Spring Ball Addict Extreme could just be pink on some). I'll definitely work as fast as I can when I have access to the products :)

  5. Just bought Rouge Coco in Dèdicace #59 I have English rose complexion and it goes perfect. Its like a medium hot pink siighty toned down with a creamy base. Good dry down and color preservation.
