Sara Happ Peppermint Lip Scrub and The Lip Slip in a Tube, Review and Photos

Have I ever told you that I'm addicted to Beautyhabit? I certainly am not going to tell you how much I spent there last night. They are so unbelievably nice and have some of the best customer service I've ever come across in all of my journey of online shopping. No, I'm not getting endorsed by them--or anyone else for that matter. But the great thing about Beautyhabit, is that--wait for it--they send you samples. Not excited yet? Well, once in a while, I'll want to try something I'm not sure about--so, I'll ask if I can have a sample of something I want to try. They don't always have it, but when they do, I usually know if I want to buy it or not. That's how I ended up buying these little goodies.

Now, I've tried lip scrubs before--but none as good as this. (In fact, I ended up throwing them all away.) Sara Happ's The Lip Scrub ($24 for 1oz/30g) comes in a range of flavors, from Peppermint--which I got--to wilder concoctions, like Red Velvet and Lemonade. And OMG. Did you notice how adorable the box for the scrub is--little truffle boxes. Enough said.

The first time I tried this, I fell in love. My lips have never felt this good. EVER. Or so moisturized. And you only use like a pea size amount, so one jar, will conceivably, last forever. Or until you decide you want to try another flavor. It's just that good. My lips look healthier, rosier, possibly even fuller. My fiancee even can tell a difference--that must mean something good. Because he's a guy--and he doesn't notice anything but his phone.

It's so easy to use--you take that tiny pea size amount and rub it on your lips. I find it works better if my lips are a little damp--I usually use the scrub in the morning after I brush my teeth. You're supposed to wipe it away with a tissue, but I normally use my fingers and water to rub the excess away. That's it. That's all there is too it. Afterward, my lips don't feel dry or depleted. They feel smooth, comfortable and healthy.

The Lip Slip in a Tube ($18 for .5oz/14ml) is a lip balm made with "crushed pearl & infused with sweet almond, jojoba & macadamia nut oils." It's the same formula as Sara Happ's bestselling Lip Slip, but it's in a tube and it has increased the shine. It's also $6 less than the original, and you get more. That on top of the fact that I didn't have to get my finger sticky--sold me. I'm still addicted to my Burt's Bees--but I like this too. It's much more hydrating and makes my lips feel silky smooth.

So you're probably wondering why I rambled on about Beautyhabit in the beginning, instead of just heading into the review. It's because of this:

That's right. It's an incredible deal. I think I sound like an ad throughout this review--but only one other time have I gotten such a coupon like that--and it was a one time use code, that they sent out to customers. Beautyhabit has thousands--it seems that way anyway--of brands. I could spend weeks looking at their site and still find new things. they carry brands like Rouge Bunny Rouge, Chantecaille, Diptyque, Darphin, Serge Lutens, Phyto, Bioderma, Mason Pearson--I could go on and on and on. If you've never shopped there--now would be the best time--the coupon is only good until Monday September 2nd, 2013, at 11:59 P.M PST.

Sara Happ The Lip Scrub and The Lip Slip are available at Beautyhabit and Nordstrom.

Have you tried a lip scrub before? Do you think you ever would? If you have, which one is your favorite?

    1. Yes, lol, I'm sure lots of people haven't. I used my toothbrush for the longest time because I couldn't find a good lip scrub. This one is seriously amazing. You should try one!

  2. I placed my beautyhabit order last night tooooo!!! I love love love them too - amazing customer service, phenomenal array of products, and a kick ass gwp section!! I love that so many of their products aren't ones that you see in every department store, and that often times they are only on beauty habit!

Ok, so I'm lazy and just use a wash cloth in the shower to exfoliate my lips, but this sounds (for lack of better words) delicious!!! And I've been wanting to try that balm and didn't realize it comes in a tube until seeing your post - ugh am I going to have to place another order before the sale is over??? Ha ha! Awesome review!

And the more I use the lip slip--the more I'm falling in love with that. I'm already kinda planning on placing another order--just so I can get more of it--isn't that terrible? LOL.
